Growing up is indeed a process that everyone must face, regardless of status, race and religion. 

However, no one told me that growing up is an easy task. 

I always face life with a 'go with the flow' kind of attitude, as I grow older, I realised that that's not the case anymore.

Things have gotten a little more complicated. 

People say growing up is to discover oneself, to know one's passion, personality and genuine feelings, but, they never mentioned the sacrifices and responsibilities embedded within. 

In the end, is it safe to say that growing up is also a journey to lose yourself, rather than discover yourself?

People say growing up is a journey to try new things, to be adventurous, however, they never mention how society would condemn you if you do not perform in ways society approve of.
